About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for College Access to provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight of programs and initiatives that support students in their pursuit of postsecondary education. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of programs that enhance the skills, habits, and knowledge of students, particularly those from underrepresented and underserved communities. This senior-level position involves supervising and developing professional staff, managing complex budgets, and ensuring compliance with grant and regulatory requirements. The AVP will also be a key figure in fostering strategic partnerships with K-12 education leaders, community organizations, and industry stakeholders to advance the company's mission of promoting access to higher education. Applicants for the Associate Vice President role at the company must have a Master's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years' experience, including at least 3 years in a management role with a focus on budget and accountability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program management, partnership development, and a deep commitment to addressing the barriers that students face in accessing higher education. Strong leadership, communication, and advocacy skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with diverse communities. A terminal degree, experience with federal grants, and a background in research or data analysis are preferred. The role requires a resourceful problem-solver who can navigate institutional systems and is adept at anticipating and addressing the challenges and opportunities in college access and retention for underrepresented and low-income students.
