RICHMOND RACEWAY Founded in 1946, Richmond Raceway is one of NASCAR’s original tracks, hosting an annual Summer NASCAR weekend featuring the Cup Series and Craftsman Truck Series on its iconic ¾-mile D-shaped oval. The 1,100+ acre Richmond Raceway Complex is a regional hub for sports, concerts, and major events—welcoming more than 200 live events each year, including top national acts at Virginia Credit Union LIVE!, the region’s only covered amphitheater. Richmond Raceway is seeking enthusiastic individuals passionate about in-person promotions, event marketing and live events. Responsibilities/ Duties/ Functions/ Tasks Enthusiastically interact with and educate the public on Richmond Raceway history, information, and ticket opportunities Responsible for the loading/unloading and delivery of the Pace Car to events and community engagements. Ensure that display is appropriately supplied with promotional materials and giveaway items Ensure that display presentation is neat, organized, and pleasing to the eye Actively collect prospects for future email campaigns Attend in-market and regional events for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunities Be an expert on the products and services offered by Richmond Raceway Continuing education in the sport of NASCAR and sports industry standards on customer care Conform to all safety regulations Assist in the set up and tear-down of the display Attend concerts at Virginia Credit Union LIVE! at Richmond Raceway to assist with concert operations such as ticket scanning and wristbands as well as promote the NASCAR weekend activities. Other duties as assigned Performance Measures Level of enthusiasm and professionalism displayed during interaction with customers Presentation of display and materials Compliance with safety regulations/ procedures Promptness of response to customer service issues Reliability and dependability Qualifications Post high school education required or equivalent experience Exceptional work-ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism and a passion for the sports industry Competitive nature and a contagious positive attitude Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft applications and daily use of email Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Work Requirements May require some out of town and overnight travel Special Position Requirements The position requires travel, evening and weekend hours as needed Must be at least 21 years of age Must pass driver’s license check and requirements for driving Pace Car We are a company unlike any other.
