Production Manager

Job Overview The Production Manager will lead day‑to‑day operational activities related to the manufacturing of persulfates. The role ensures that all customer requirements are met while maintaining safety, environmental compliance, and cost efficiency. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs, policies, and procedures. Develop and implement safety and operating policies, keeping procedures current. Support operating teams to maintain/improve safe working conditions and good housekeeping practices. Operate manufacturing assets, solve operational problems, and continuously improve performance quality. Support change initiatives around organizational growth, development, and skills. Facilitate individual and team developmental activities to enhance operator skills and foster autonomous work teams. Develop manufacturing and operational key performance metrics, achieving goals and objectives. Maintain adherence to ISO standards in all areas of manufacturing, including nonconformance reviews. Support the Production Coordinator to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging supplies and assist in production scheduling. Manage the Production Coordinator role, working closely with supply chain functions to maintain desired inventory levels and capacity scheduling. Update and issue Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure work in‑process and product sampling is completed, tested, and verified to meet specifications. Provide input for annual budget development, conduct department business meetings, and assist with forecasts to ensure accuracy and cost‑effective production. Operate the plant in a manner consistent with budget and cost targets in cooperation with other managers. Requirements BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physical Science; BS in Chemical Engineering is preferred. Prior manufacturing experience, 5 or more years; chemical manufacturing preferred. 3+ years’ experience in a managerial/team leader role with direct reports preferred. Strong technical background. Good verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of SAP preferred. Experience managing in a union environment preferred. Benefits Pay Range: $108,500 - $180,900. Compensation and benefits are based on individual factors.
