SMT Operator – 1st Shift
Location: Shakopee, MN 55379
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Wage: $22.00 – $25.00/hr (DOE)
Job Summary:Platinum Staffing is seeking an experienced SMT Operator to join our 1st shift team in Shakopee, MN.
The ideal candidate will have Surface Mount Technology (SMT) experience and work with MyData MY9 and MY9E pick-and-place machines. If you have experience with other SMT machines, we are willing to train the right person!
Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate MyData MY9 and MY9E surface mount pick-and-place machines.
Use MyPlan software for feeder designation and MYBOM planning.
Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic Ekra solder screen print machines.
Screen print solder paste onto raw printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Label and load components into feeder locations and verify accuracy.
Perform daily maintenance on MyData and Ekra solder stencil machines.
Keep work areas clean and organized between assembly jobs.
Assist in general assembly tasks such as conformal coating, in-process inspections, and functional testing.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
3+ years of SMT experience (preferably with MyData machines)
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Basic reading and math skills
Ability to read work orders and follow instructions
Experience with hand tools and equipment operation
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods
Clean, well-lit, and ventilated facility
Possible exposure to oil, grease, noise, and chemicals (with proper safety precautions in place)
