EstimatorJob Order ID:11597Salary:$150000-175000/YrWeb Publication Date:7/14/2026Job Location:Hauppauge, New York United States 11788Brief Description:Our client is a large developer looking for an estimator.Job Function:The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, solution-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.ResponsibilitiesLead the estimating and preconstruction process for commercial construction projects across multiple sectorsPrepare detailed conceptual, schematic, GMP, negotiated, and hard bid estimatesPerform comprehensive quantity takeoffs and scope analysisReview drawings, specifications, and project documents for completeness, constructability, and potential riskSolicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposalsDevelop value engineering recommendations and cost-saving strategiesAssist with budgeting, procurement and subcontractor buyoutsParticipate in client meetings, preconstruction meetings, and design coordination discussionsMentor and assist junior estimators and estimating staffMaintain and strengthen subcontractor and vendor relationshipsCollaborate closely with Operations, Project Management, and Executive Leadership teamsHelp develop and improve estimating systems, processes, and historical cost databasesQualificationsJob Requirement:10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience preferredStrong understanding of construction means and methods across multiple asset classesAbility to prepare and manage large, complex estimates independentlyExcellent communication, organizational, and leadership skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software platformsExperience with conceptual estimating, GMP development, and value engineeringBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferredSalary $150,000-$175,000#IND2#LI-DT1Contact Details:Daria View email address on click.appcast.io
