Estimator

Location: East Northport, NY

Overview: Island Pump & Tank is hiring Estimators to evaluate construction project costs, collaborate with contractors, estimate timelines, and compile detailed cost sheets.

Responsibilities:

Estimate costs for new products and services
Review project documents and communicate with Owner's Representatives or General Contractors
Travel to sites for project evaluations
Collaborate with clients to define project scopes and provide cost estimates
Engage in sales activities and present estimates to clients

Requirements:

Ability to interpret blueprints, scale drawings, and architectural plans
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Proficiency in cost accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
