Position: Millwork Estimator
Location: Proximity to Islandia, NY
Company/Industry: Well-established millwork shop
Schedule: On-site, Mon-Fri
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate
Type: Direct hire with benefits
Responsibilities:
- Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates
- Lead takeoffs, scope reviews, and bid strategy for millwork projects
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope and budget
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years of experience in millwork estimating
- Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and installation practices
- Proficiency in estimating software; Microvellum experience is highly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and high-value bids
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $90,000.00 - $140,000.00
