NOW HIRING: EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF Philadelphia, PA | High-Volume Upscale Restaurant Salary: Up to $85,000 We're seeking a polished, experienced Executive Sous Chef to join an established, high-volume upscale restaurant in Philadelphia. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make a meaningful impact on kitchen operations, team development, and overall performance. Working closely with the Executive Chef, the Executive Sous Chef will help lead the BOH team, maintain exceptional standards, and ensure consistent execution through busy service periods. About the Role As Executive Sous Chef , you will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily BOH operations, driving culinary standards, and ensuring strong execution. You'll help lead the culinary team, reinforce systems and procedures, and contribute to the overall success of the kitchen. This position is ideal for a chef who is organized, hands-on, calm under pressure, and passionate about developing people while maintaining high standards. What You'll Do

- Oversee and support daily back-of-house operations
- Lead service execution and maintain high standards during peak volume
- Partner with the Executive Chef on menu execution, systems, and kitchen performance
- Train, mentor, and develop Sous Chefs and line-level culinary talent
- Drive consistency in food quality, plating, and sanitation
- Assist with inventory, ordering, scheduling, and food cost management
- Monitor labor and operational controls
- Maintain a positive, professional, and accountable kitchen culture
- 3+ years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume upscale or upscale-casual restaurant
- Executive Sous Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef experience preferred
- Strong culinary technique and attention to detail
- Proven ability to lead and develop a large culinary team
- Solid understanding of food cost, labor management, and kitchen operations
- Hands-on, team-first leadership style
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Salary up to $85,000
