Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced rural hospital setting. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient management and ensures optimal outcomes through timely assessments and interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient condition upon arrival, delivering immediate and ongoing nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and modify treatment plans.
• Administer emergency medications, treatments, and procedures according to protocols and patient needs.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and health management.
• Maintain readiness and compliance with all clinical guidelines, including certifications and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current VT or multi-state RN license and valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of emergency room nursing experience.
• Show proficiency or quick adaptability with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems.
• Possess strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Preferably possess TNCC certification or similar trauma nursing credentials.
