About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Georgia

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week available (please specify preference at application); 4:1 patient ratio; every other weekend required; no call required; floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

Highlights:

• Emergency Department in a Level 3 trauma center (in process) with Primary Stroke Center designation
• 59-bed unit with daily census of 250 patient visits; treat all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Specialized services including CHF, STEMI, and Chest Pain Center certifications
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy
• 12-hour orientation with telemetry competency exam required
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state) required at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC, ENPC
• Required clinical skills: Care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, triage experience
• Preferred skills: Continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date; compliance must be completed by Tuesday prior to start date to avoid orientation delay
