Senior Communications ManagerWe're partnering with a mission-driven foundation to hire a hands-on Senior Communications Manager to lead its communications function. This role is ideal for a well-rounded communications professional who can balance strategy with day-to-day execution, with a strong focus on leading website and social media initiatives while also supporting PR, marketing, content, and internal communications.What You'll Do:Lead the Foundation's communications strategy while remaining actively involved in day-to-day executionOwn website content strategy, digital communications, and social media initiativesDevelop integrated communications plans aligned with organizational priorities and the Foundation's missionAdvise executive leadership on messaging, positioning, reputational considerations, and sensitive communicationsOversee content across newsletters, reports, presentations, social media, digital platforms, print materials, and institutional communicationsLead public relations efforts, including press releases, media materials, external messaging, and media inquiriesIdentify opportunities to elevate the Foundation's visibility and support leadership with interviews, presentations, and public appearancesPartner with program teams and affiliated entities to translate complex information into clear, accessible communicationsMaintain consistency across the Foundation's voice, messaging, identity, and communications standardsUse website, social media, and engagement metrics to guide future communications effortsManage communications projects, timelines, approvals, platforms, vendors, consultants, and external resourcesSupervise one Communications SpecialistQualifications:7+ years of progressively responsible experience across communications, public relations, digital communications, content, and/or marketingWell-rounded, hands-on communications experience with the ability to move comfortably between strategy and executionStrong website content and social media experience requiredExceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skillsExperience advising senior leadership and handling sensitive, confidential, or high-profile communicationsPrevious experience supervising staff and managing consultants, agencies, vendors, or cross-functional communications projectsStrong organizational, project management, and relationship-building skillsKnowledge of the Los Angeles area and its communities is a plusFoundation experience is strongly preferred; nonprofit, public-sector, or broader mission-driven experience is also valuableBachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePlease submit your resume for consideration!
