Responsibilities
- Perform specialized mammography exams to assist in the evaluation of breast disease.
- Position patients, operate mammography equipment, and ensure high-quality, diagnostically useful images.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines while protecting patients and staff.
- Review images for technical adequacy; communicate findings and consult with radiologists as needed.
- Maintain accurate imaging documentation, patient records, and quality assurance checks.
- Provide patient-centered care, explaining procedures, addressing comfort concerns, and ensuring patient safety and privacy.
