Maintenance TechCarrolton, TXPay $28+/HR2nd Shift: 12pm - 10:30pm Monday - FridayJob SummaryThis role is responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of machinery.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneEssential FunctionsResponsibilities:Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance workStart machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problemsInspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors or repair needsLubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified proceduresInstall, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specificationsDismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoistsRecord production, repair, and machine maintenance informationRead work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenanceSet up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operationsCollaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipmentInventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenishedTransport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dolliesCollect and discard worn machine parts to maintain machinery and work areasClean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or otherQualificationsEducation and/or experience:Associate's degree in Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent from two-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred.Minimum 2 year's experience of related experienceKnowledge, skills and abilities:Strong organization skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Demonstrated attention to detailDemonstrated ability to solve mechanical problemsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programsMechanical/conveyor knowledgePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 51 poundsAbility to work in a warehouse environment (concrete floors, changing temperatures)Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye and face protection and/or respiratorMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
