Tax Manager

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES-Review corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns in accordance with relevant tax laws and regulations-Review quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions, including monitoring payment deadlines-Review interim and year-end tax provisions with a focus on current taxable income calculation and validation of deferred balances in accordance with ASC 740-Liaise with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial information and document calculations, assumptions, and conclusions to support income tax filings and forecasts-Develop an understanding of business operations-Assist with responses to tax notices, including corresponding with taxing authorities to resolve inquiries and disputes-Day-to-day management of tax team members and/or consultants on assigned projects-Provide tax support to other corporate and operating groups-Assist with various projects related to income tax audits and planningKey Requirements-Public company experience-Strong Excel (assessment includes PivotTables/VLOOKUPs)-Workday experience-Ability to lead, mentor, and remain hands-on-CPA preferred-C-Corp/tax experience is a plus (not required)Team & StructureReports into DirectorLeading a team of 2-4Recently added Senior, Staff, and consulting supportProcess2 interview rounds + Excel assessmentLogisticsLocation: Los Angeles (onsite 4 days/week, remote Fridays)Year-end: 6/30CompBase: $140-145K (flexible)Bonus: 10% (paid in June)
