Brake Press Operator

Job Description Job Description Proman Staffing looking for a Direct Hire Brake Press Operator for our client that is a creator of on-site customized tagging solutions in Charlotte, NC. We are looking for a Detail -oriented, service focused, press operator. Brake Press Operator Summary : A press operator will perform complex printing jobs, including set-up and troubleshooting for each job. The press operator will produce products in a highly efficient manner to the highest possible quality standards. Brake Press Operator Responsibilities: Operate, set-up, and trouble shoot flexographic printing presses and auxiliary equipment, all in accordance with production standards and productivity goals. Utilizing product specs (copy card), changing plates, cylinders, and dies. Maintain machines by performing basic maintenance including lubricants, replace minor parts, and requests major maintenance when necessary. Maintain work area utilizing 5S methods. Report machine and equipment malfunction immediately to the group leader, maintenance and/or supervisor. Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. Crosstrain and work multiple press lines and equipment as needed. Quality Control: Follow all quality inspection plans. This involves measuring, checking, and testing various processes and product parameters. Meet established goals for material scrap and yield. Collaboration: Collaborate with all plant leadership and departments such as engineering, procurement, customer service, and logistics to coordinate production activities, address technical issues, standardize processes, and optimize supply chain processes. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Support all continuous improvement initiatives as required via participation and or implementation. Perform other duties as assigned by floor or plant leadership. Brake Press Operator Qualifications: · Ability to perform basic math functions and use a ruler is a must · Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English in order to communicate effectively · The ability to focus on objects, have good vision and be able to differentiate colors as determined by color blindness testing. · Strong mechanical aptitude needed.
