Scrum Master

Scrum Master OpportunityWorld Wide Technology is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support an HR technology delivery team working within a SAP HR (HCM) environment. This role will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and coach the team on Scrum and Agile best practices while partnering closely with product owners, HRIS stakeholders, and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate is a strong facilitator with excellent people skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust quickly across business and technical teams.Responsibilities:Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring sessions are productive and time-boxed.Coach the team and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum principles, values, and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a clear, prioritized backlog and ensure user stories are well-defined and ready for sprint planning.Manage and maintain sprint boards, backlogs, and reporting in Jira, ensuring accurate tracking of progress, velocity, and burndown.Identify and remove impediments and blockers affecting team delivery, escalating appropriately when needed.Build strong, trusted relationships with SAP HR/HRIS stakeholders, business partners, and cross-functional teams.Support coordination between Agile delivery teams and SAP HR (HCM) functional and technical resources.Track and communicate team metrics (velocity, throughput, cycle time) and delivery progress to stakeholders and leadership.Proactively identify risks and dependencies across the program and drive resolution.Promote a collaborative, transparent, and high-performing team culture.Qualifications:Required:5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile/Scrum delivery teams.Working knowledge of SAP HR (HCM) modules, processes, or implementations.Hands-on experience managing sprints, backlogs, and reporting in Jira.Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills; a natural relationship-builder.Proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles and drive adoption of best practices.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and remove impediments.Ability to work onsite in Oakland, CA three days per week (hybrid schedule).Preferred:Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe SM, or equivalent).Experience supporting HR technology, HRIS, or ERP implementation programs.Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or the broader SAP ecosystem.Experience working within a SAFe or scaled Agile environment.Tools and Technologies:Agile Tools: Jira, ConfluenceERP / HR Systems: SAP HR (HCM)Collaboration: Microsoft Teams, SharePointWe strive to create an environment where all employees are empowered to succeed based on their skills, performance, and dedication.
