Electrical Engineering Specialist

If you are innovative, enjoy problem solving and technical challenges, like collaborating to find the best solution, and want to be in an environment where you are valued as you learn and grow, we would like to talk with you.Responsibilities Include:Production of contract documents including plans and specificationsPerforms load and voltage drop calculationsDevelops one line diagrams and control schematicsUnderstands and can review short circuit, protective devices and coordination studiesDevelops and performs load flow, power study/short circuit coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM Power Tools.Prepares construction and design cost estimatesDevelops project specific specificationsPerform engineering duties in planning and designing electrical systems for Water and Wastewater Treatment PlantsMakes site visits during design and construction to inspect the electrical installationQualified Candidate Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalentZero (0) to Three (3) years of experience designing industrial electrical systemsExperience in water and wastewater treatment electrical systems is a plusLicensed EIT (or ability to obtain)Knowledge of SKM or ETAPComprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 820Experience with 480 V and below electrical equipment (MCC and motor controls, transformers, VFDs, etc) and calculations: Conduit fill, voltage drop, transformer sizing, Feeder/conductor sizing, panelboard and breaker sizingExperience with wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, PLC design, plot plans, loop diagrams, I/O lists, P&IDs, cable/conduit schedules, electrical and instrumentation detailsAbility to work independentlyStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience with Autocad or Revit is a plusCourse work in power engineeringCompensation Range: $64,848.58 - $74,112.66STV offers the following benefits: Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable), Disability insurance, Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment, 401(k) Plan, Retirement Counseling, Employee Assistance Program, Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days), Paid Holidays (9 days), Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year), Parental Leave (up to 80 hours), Continuing Education Program, Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
