RN WOCN | Certified Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurse

Job Summary

As an RN WOCN, you will deliver skilled nursing care by assessing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans tailored to diverse patient needs. You will collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity and excellence of care. Your role includes administering medications, preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Minimum of two years of RN experience focused on wound and ostomy care.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, unrestricted nursing license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
• Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (WOCN) credential.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles.
• Ability to apply age-specific growth and development concepts to patient care.
• Respect for patient privacy and adherence to HIPAA standards.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and common office software.
