Assistant Facility ManagerThe Assistant Facility Manager supports the Facility Manager in overseeing, coordinating, and executing custodial operations for assigned accounts across a variety of environments, including but not limited to airports, retail, Class A office buildings, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, hospitality venues, and convention centers. This role assists in maintaining service quality, safety compliance, employee performance, and customer satisfaction through hands-on supervision and operational support.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, (other duties may be assigned):Assists in managing customer relationships by responding to requests, addressing service issues, and communicating needs or potential service improvements to the Facility Manager.Supports the supervision, assignment, and inspection of custodial work to ensure compliance with company standards, contract requirements, and safety regulations.Assists with issuing, tracking, and maintaining custodial supplies and equipment.Serves as a point of contact for employee questions or concerns, escalating performance or disciplinary matters to the Facility Manager or Corporate Human Resources as appropriate.Records employee hours worked using timecards or the eTime system and reports discrepancies to the Facility Manager.Assists with submitting requests for cleaning equipment repair or replacement to the designated Divisional Leader.Supports the requisition of cleaning supplies and equipment through the online purchasing system as directed.Performs custodial duties as needed, including operating cleaning equipment such as low-speed and propane buffers, auto scrubbers, pressure washers, lifts, and other mechanized equipment.Operates quality assurance platform to complete inspections, report findings, and assist with updating and resolving work tickets.Ensures adherence to site-specific requirements, security protocols, and access procedures.Assists with monitoring staffing levels, schedules, and labor utilization to support contract and operational needs.Promotes a safe work environment by following safety procedures, encouraging safe behaviors, and participating in safety training initiatives.Assists in compiling service documentation, inspection reports, or information needed for customer meetings as requested by the Facility Manager.May serve as acting Facility Manager in the absence of the Facility Manager, as assigned.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 18 years of age. One to three years of related custodial, facilities, or operations management experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Computer Skills:Intermediate computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to use mobile devices or on-site systems for task reporting, time tracking, or work ticket updates. Training will be provided.Language Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates And Licenses:· Must obtain and maintain proper OSHA Lift certification, if applicable (training provided by the organization).· Ability to meet site requirements for access, where applicable (e.g., badging/security clearance).Supervisory Responsibilities:Provides direct, day-to-day supervision to custodial staff as assigned and supports the Facility Manager with employee training, scheduling, performance feedback, and work assignments. May assist with interviewing and onboarding activities. Escalates disciplinary actions, employee relations matters, and performance concerns to the Facility Manager or Corporate Human Resources in accordance with company policy.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
