Sr. Principal Engineer

Pay rate: $80 - $85/hr on W2

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery workshops with IT & Security SMEs - assess current-state maturity, identify security exposure, define target architecture

Design end-to-end solutions across CI/CD security hardening, AI vulnerability assessment, and AI-native security feedback loop engagements

Maintain architectural standards across all security domains

Present findings and solution designs to CISO, CTO, and CIO-level stakeholders - translating between engineering depth and business risk language

Collaborate with WWT Sales & Services experts to stay up to date on industry best practices and direction

Mentor Security & IT Engineers and serve as the senior escalation point on delivery

Drive innovation and thought leadership from a multi-domain, architectural level

Incorporate secure AI solutions into the architecture wherever possible

Strong organizational, program management, and stakeholder alignment skills, with the ability to lead complex multi-party architecture engagements from scoping through delivery.

Qualifications

8 12 years in solutions architecture with genuine depth in security architecture

Deep cloud architecture experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP) with security-native design patterns: zero trust, least privilege, IAM/NHI design

Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP (traditional and Agentic Top 10), NIST AI RMF - able to apply them in architecture design, not just cite them

Executive presence - can hold a room with a CTO and CISO simultaneously and keep both engaged
