Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more.Our technical expertise is paired with an exceptional team of business development, human resources, finance and accounting, information technology, and marketing professionals, all of whom play a key role in bringing our commitments to life every day.Job Summary: The candidate will provide expertise and support in multiple key areas including client management, operational efficiency, resource planning/coordination, quality assurance, scheduling, engineering effort estimation, capital cost estimation, staff/cost forecasting, proposal preparation, effort hour metric interpretation, and more.Responsibilities:Ensure efficient planning and use of engineering resourcesMonitor and facilitate timely delivery of project deliverablesCalibrate deliverables to an appropriate level required by Salas O'Brien standards and project needsManage client, supplier, and subcontractor expectations and coordinationDevelop, interpret, and maintain effort hour metricsEnsure timely project kick-off meetings, SMACC reviews, project close-out meetings, and project reportingCollaborate on and support weekly resource planningEngineering project scope managementCost forecastingFacilitate effective communication and information exchange among the project team, including the owner, equipment suppliers, and subcontractorsDevelop engineering estimates and proposalsSupport and execute conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineeringDevelop project capital cost estimatesQualifications and Experience:Bachelor of Science in Engineering and/or Management5+ years' experience in engineering (preferably related to construction or heavy industrial)Excellent communication skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, and a positive attitudeMinimal travel is requiredAble to lift 26 pounds and ascend industrial structures unaidedU.S. CitizenshipValid driver's licenseLocation: St. Louis, MOBenefits: This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysWellness programs and employee assistance resourcesProfessional development supportEqual Opportunity Employment Statement: Salas O'Brien provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state/provincial, or local laws.
