Job Summary

The Tender position is a physically demanding job that consists of pushing, pulling and constantly lifting concrete block weighing an average of 50 lb's.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to lift 50lb concrete blocks on a repetitive basis.
• Must be capable of performing job duties such as bending, squatting, stooping, sweeping, and shoveling.
• Ability to communicate both verbal & written and understand direction.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to climb conveyors and vertical ladders is needed.
• Mechanical and repair knowledge needed.
• Two-handed dexterity needed for the use of tools and equipment.
• Must be capable of operating a wheeled loader and forklift.
• Ability and willingness to learn how to execute each operational function as needed; i.e. - operator, cuber, forklift, etc.
• Ability to maintain and enforce a safe working environment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Electrical, welding and fabricating background a plus

Forklift experience highly preferred

Working Conditions

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors. Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

Requires wallking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree

Heavy Work-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment

Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
