OTC Collections Analyst

Onsite Requirement: 100% onsite, Monday through Friday at 1515 Broadway, New York, NY 10036

Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Overview

The Collection Analyst is responsible for maintaining a large volume Ad Sales Linear Cable portfolio, which includes managing, identifying and resolving discrepancies, along with maintaining acceptable payment patterns and relationships with clients. This role plays a critical part in maximizing cash flow and minimizing bad debt risk within Paramount's Order to Cash organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a Linear Cable Collections portfolio of approximately $100M, including actively resolving discrepancies and translating receivables into cash
• Actively collect Ad Sales Linear receivables
• Contact customers for prompt collection or resolution of aged receivables through email and phone outreach
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer communications and collection activity
• Perform follow up on accounts with significant aging or past due balances
• Manage and resolve customer discrepancies while partnering with Ad Sales, CSR teams, and internal stakeholders
• Meet established cash collection targets, including Aging, DSO, and overdue percentage metrics
• Provide periodic cash forecast projections to management
• Partner cross functionally to identify root causes of payment delays and determine appropriate resolution strategies
• Prepare routine reporting for management teams
• Participate in periodic aging reviews with leadership
• Support customer requests including account statements, invoice copies, backup documentation, and account reconciliations
• Collaborate with various departments during month end close activities
• Ensure Accounts Receivable ledgers are properly maintained
• Support cash application and account reconciliation activities
• Provide detailed support for internal and external audit requests
• Prepare discrepancy reports, cash packages, aging reports, and refund requests
• Escalate changing customer payment trends and financial concerns
• Work closely with teams in New York and Buenos Aires to achieve established cash targets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred
• 1+ years of collections, accounts receivable, finance, accounting, or related experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Experience managing large volumes of transactional or financial data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working within enterprise level organizations preferred
• ERP system experience preferred, SAP is a plus
• Media, advertising, cable industry, or broadcast experience is a plus
• Spanish language skills are a plus

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $23.67 - $28.67/hr.
