Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Therapist to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary therapist and conduct clinical assessments.

• Develop individualized dual diagnosis treatment plans.

• Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy as appropriate.

• Provide trauma-informed care and PTSD treatment.

• Support relapse prevention and substance-use recovery.

• Facilitate process, psychoeducational, trauma recovery, life skills, and relapse prevention groups.

• Complete timely clinical documentation, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.

• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, APRNs, counselors, nurses, and other clinicians.

• Develop discharge and aftercare plans.

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Virginia regulations, TJC standards, and organizational policies.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.

• Active Virginia license or eligibility for LPC, QMHP, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD).

• Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

• Experience with trauma-informed care and PTSD treatment.

• Strong individual/group therapy and treatment-planning experience.

• EHR and Microsoft Office proficiency.

• CPR/First Aid certification and current TB screening.

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass required background/drug screening.

• RTC, addiction treatment, family therapy, and Joint Commission experience preferred.
