Kona Ice of Winston-Salem is hiring energetic, dependable drivers to operate our shaved ice truck at school events, sports tournaments, festivals, corporate events, neighborhood gatherings, and private parties. If you like being on the move, meeting new people, and think you can bring the full Kona Ice Experience, this role is for you!
Starting pay: $14.50/hour + tips!
This is a fast-paced, fun, outdoor job in a growing local businessno two shifts are the same. You'll drive to events, set up, serve guests with a positive attitude, and close out the event with accurate cash handling and sales reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive the Kona Ice truck safely to and from events; follow all safety rules (including no texting while driving).
- Arrive prepared: load/stock product, set up equipment, and keep the truck clean and guest-ready.
- Deliver outstanding guest servicegreet, take orders quickly and accurately, and serve shaved ice with enthusiasm.
- Operate Square point-of-sale and handle cash/change accurately.
- Follow sanitation, food safety, and cleaning procedures for the truck and warehouse.
- Complete event closeout: tidy/secure the unit, restock as needed, and submit accurate sales reporting.
