Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Payable Accountant to join our accounting team. The Accounts Payable Accountant will be responsible for all accounts payable tasks for all companies (ASI, AS Services, PrivateFlite Aviation as well as five other smaller holding/pass through entities), assisting with general ledger maintenance, vendor management, account reconciliations as well as being the back-up for Accounts Receivable. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, adhering to accounting principles, and company standards.

Job Duties  

• Leading and performing day-to-day processing of the accounts payable function for all companies 
• Preparing and analyzing accounts payable reports for management review 
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance 
• Manage and maintain collection of W9s for vendors 
• Review and verify payment terms on leases/contracts/agreements prior to issuing payment 
• Onboard/import new vendors into QBO (from Purchasing Dept or Quantum), request information such as W9, contact information, addresses, banking info, etc. 
• Handle monthly billing and accounts payable for affiliated entities, including Blue Sky, Bravo Air, TS Sky, Air Holdings, and PrivateFlite LLC 
• Ad hoc work as requested by leadership 
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and financial regulations 
• Serve as back-up support for AR functions as needed 
• Accurately enter leaseback payments into the appropriate company entities 
• Participate in system improvements and process standardization initiatives 
• Reconciling accounts payable and credit card transactions and resolving any discrepancies promptly 
• Assisting the accounting team with other accounting related duties as needed 

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across the organization. 
• Strong proficiency in general accounting practices, financial reporting, and account reconciliation 
• Extremely detail-oriented to create accurate and timely accounting transactions 
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude & a fit with the company’s culture & values 
• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field highly preferred 
• Experience using QuickBooks is highly preferred 
• Experience in Excel required 

Salary Description

65,000-75,000
