Senior Photonics Engineer
Brightlight Photonics
Co-lead the photonics engineering process from idea conception to device characterization, including: literature research, device design, simulation, layout, measurement, and performance analysis. Take ownership over the measurement process including designing experiments, building setups, and performing analysis. Design and simulate on-chip sapphire photonic circuits and supporting production equipment. Layout circuits to send to the fabrication team. Work closely with the fabrication and product development teams. Participate in collaborative R&D projects with academic and industry partners, attend and present at conferences. Opportunities to take on new leadership roles as our photonics team grows. Strong theoretical background in optics and photonics. Extensive experience with optics or photonics experiment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in theory/measurement of lasers and frequency combs.
