We work collaboratively to provide compassionate care and utilize evidence based practice to improve outcomes to every patient, every time./ph3Behavioral Health Director Responsibilities:/h3ulliPlans, organizes and directs patient care services in accordance with the philosophy objectives of the Behavioral Health Department./liliAnalyzes and evaluates delivery of patient care, quality, and effectiveness of nursing care./liliCollaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer in planning and implementing new methods of delivering nursing care./liliResponsible for the overall staffing of assigned units, reviewing and approving monthly time sheets and maximum utilization of available staff with the authority to relocate staff as required./liliMonitors and controls all financial resources and budget of the division/liliCollaborates with the Nurse Manager in preparing/reviewing all formal performance evaluations of staff in the division./liliEncourages responsibility, accountability, and personal achievements of each staff member./liliMeets at regular intervals with staff members on performance and establishing new goals and directives if required./liliAssesses the needs of the patient care staff and arranges for learning and growth opportunities./liliInterviews, evaluates, hires, counsels, disciplines, and terminates staff members in accordance with hospital policy./liliActs as mediator when staff members are unable to resolve a conflict./liliWorks closely with all staff members in providing services which enhance patient satisfaction, including creating and maintaining an atmosphere of courtesy and respect toward patients, families, and staff./liliPerforms all related duties as required and unrelated duties as requested during emergencies./li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3ulliEducation: Masters Degree in Nursing, Business, Health, or allied field required./liliLicensure/Certification: Licensed Registered Nurse, New York State/liliSkills, Knowledge or Abilities: Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements, electronic medical record, and budgeting/liliMinimum 3-5 years experience in health care management field./li/ulh3Posted Salary Range/h3pUSD $180,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr./ppThis range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
