As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Olympia, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while contributing to a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant details through established reporting channels.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and coordinate with site personnel and emergency responders in accordance with post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
