Job Overview

American Guard Services (AGS) is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Lacey, Washington. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors at a retail location.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas and monitor for security concerns

Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity

Observe and report incidents, hazards, and suspicious behavior

Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff

Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports

Respond calmly and professionally to emergency situations

Follow all site-specific security procedures and company policies

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Washington State Security Guard License

Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English fluently

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively with others

Professional appearance and demeanor

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during an 8-hour shift

Ability to maintain awareness and attentiveness throughout the shift

Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult situations
