Quality/CMM Operator Lead – Spring

Day Shift – 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Location – Spring, TX

Pay - $22.00 - $28.00 an hour, DOE

OVERVIEW

Inspects products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with contract specifications and conformance to specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and hardness by performing the following duties

PRIORITIZED ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prioritizing and organizing the daily workload at the start of every shift.
• Delegating tasks and set deadlines for CMM Operators and CMM Clerks.
• Monitoring flow of production, what is needed and where.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Making sure work orders are turned in in a timely manner.
• Review with inspectors and correct any mistakes on paperwork.
• Motivate team to improve performance.
• Promote positive communication.
• Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.
• Approval or rejection of product and write report of inspection and testing results.
• Measures angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, thread lead, and other specifications.
• Inspects and verifies accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to specifications.
• Measures surface finish of part.
• Prepares labor card(s), job ticket(s), and other reports, forms, records and related paperwork for assigned area.
• Ensure established productivity standards are obtained.
• Interact with other employees in a polite, courteous and productive manner.
• Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean and orderly work area.
• Responsible for observing all Good Manufacturing Practices and safety practices ensuring all machine guards and other safety equipment
• or devices are in place and in good working order before and during operation.
• Insure all required personal protection equipment is always monitored and used
• Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High School graduate or equivalent; and three to five years related experience and/or training

Experience

• Able to perform a variety of tasks
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental
• regulations.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Knowledge of Word Processing software; Design software; Order processing systems; Manufacturing software and Database software.
