Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized testing methods and thorough observational practices.
• Create tailored treatment approaches to meet both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functionalities.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families, to enhance comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to foster ongoing progress outside the therapy room.
• Participate in intermittent inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatment plans, ensuring seamless care continuity.
• Document evaluations and treatment outcomes accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with organizational and state regulations.
• Engage in continuing education and networking opportunities to stay informed on the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet obtained ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Certified Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
