Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician

Industry: HVAC | Manufacturers Representative Location: New York City Metro Area (On Site) Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience About the Role We are an established HVAC Manufacturers Representative serving the New York City market, seeking an experienced Service Technician to support our manufacturer partners, customers, and internal teams. This role is designed for an experienced technician with strong technical service expertise who can serve as a trusted resource for troubleshooting, startups, and technical support on complex HVAC systems. The Service Technician will work closely with contractors, building engineers, and manufacturers to ensure equipment is installed, commissioned, and serviced to factory standards. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced technical service support for HVAC equipment in the field Perform equipment startups, commissioning, and functional testing Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues Serve as a technical liaison between manufacturers, contractors, and end users Support warranty evaluations, failure analysis, and corrective action recommendations Assist with jobsite visits, system inspections, and performance verification Provide technical training and guidance to contractors and service teams Maintain detailed service reports and documentation Represent manufacturers professionally in the NYC market Required Qualifications Extensive HVAC service technician experience (commercial/industrial preferred) Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, VRF, air handling equipment, and controls Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems Experience performing startups and commissioning activities Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Ability to work independently in a field-based role Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the NYC metro area Factory training or certifications from major HVAC manufacturers Experience working with or for an HVAC manufacturer or manufacturers representative Familiarity with NYC building requirements and jobsite conditions Controls and BAS troubleshooting experience #J-18808-Ljbffr SRS Enterprises
