Patient Companion Volunteer (Greater Birmingham and Surrounding areas)
Amedisys Hospice of Birmingham
Patient Companions allow caregivers a much needed break from a daily routine of caring for their terminally ill loved one, whether they need to leave the house for a few hours to run errands, or go into another room to complete chores. Patient companion volunteers will interact with the patient and provide socialization, read, play games, sing, phone calls, etc. In addition to regular daytime hours , families can use support during evenings and weekends . Amedisys is looking for Patient Companions for Greater Birmingham, Hoover, Gardendale, Hueytown, Trussville, Calera, Chelsea, Jasper and Clanton, AL.
