Physician – Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens coverage needed for holiday periods and ongoing shifts across multiple Wisconsin locations including Eau Claire, Marshfield, Minocqua, Weston, Park Falls, Rice Lake, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Rapids
• A full day of orientation (typically 8a–5p on a weekday) is required the day prior to the first shift
• Physicians working at the Marshfield main facility must be ABEM board certified or board eligible
• Shift structures vary by location: 24-hour shifts (7a–7a or 8a–8a), AM shifts (6:30a–6:30p or 7a–7p), Mid shifts (11a–11p), and PM shifts (6:30p–6:30a or 7p–7a)
• Patient encounters per shift vary by location
• Newborn deliveries may be received in the Emergency Department
• 24-hour availability of support services including anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, OR, orthopedic surgery, and radiology
• Board certification or board eligibility required
• Required certifications include ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS — AHA certification is required by Marshfield
• Providers with pending malpractice claims will not be accepted
• Active Wisconsin medical license required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days
• Lodging accommodations available on a per cap basis
