Your role within our Risk & Regulatory practice will focus on innovative approaches to deliver Office of General Counsel (OGC) efficiently and effectively, utilizing technology, process improvement, and data analysis to streamline legal processes and enhance client service.As a Senior Associate, you will build meaningful client connections and learn how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and deepening your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality work while embracing increased ambiguity. You will develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing, using reflection to enhance strengths and address development areas.Responsibilities- Utilizing technology and process improvement to streamline legal processes and enhance client service- Analyzing complex legal compliance issues to provide strategic guidance and support across various industries- Developing and implementing innovative methodologies and tools to deliver Office of General Counsel (OGC) efficiently- Managing contractual agreements and conducting risk assessments to minimize legal risks- Building meaningful client connections and anticipating the needs of teams and clients- Navigating complex situations to grow personal brand and deepen technical skills- Interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for legal compliance transformation- Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to the Firm's code of conduct and independence requirementsWhat You Must Have- At least a Bachelor's degree- At least 3 years of experienceWhat Sets You Apart- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics- Using AI-enabled or automated tools to support regulatory research, analysis, compliance workflows, dashboards, tracking, and document development- Applying regulatory frameworks such as FERC, NERC, state PUCs, ISO/RTOs, OSHA, EPA, and other federal and state Energy & Utilities requirements- Working within Energy & Utilities environments, including utilities, power generation, renewable energy, and energy infrastructure- Conducting internal audits, compliance reviews, root-cause analyses, and investigations within regulated Energy & Utilities environments- Utilizing analytical thinking to break down complex legal compliance issues- Developing policies and guidelines for contract management and risk assessment- Navigating ambiguity in regulatory environments with intellectual curiosity- Building meaningful client connections through effective communication- Embracing change and process improvement in legal managed services- Interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for client solutionsTravel RequirementsUp to 60%Job Posting End DateThe salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
