Digital Video Production provides a hands‑on introduction to digital video production. It guides students through all phases of digital video production, from planning, executing, and managing a video shoot to editing footage. Students explore methods of sharing and broadcasting digital videos, including platform versions, CDs/DVDs, and web delivery. They also learn about publicizing digital video, using techniques such as search engines to direct viewers to the production. Finally, students explore career opportunities in digital video production. Students will work as part of a collaborative team to record school events and may be asked to assist in the production and editing process. Responsibilities Provide rigorous lessons aligned to the Common Core Standards and MA State Frameworks that promote independent thinking, creative problem solving, and intellectual curiosity for all students. Plan and implement instruction to ensure that all students meet and exceed Common Core Standards and State Frameworks. Use data to inform instruction, track student progress, and perform self‑evaluation and goal setting. Deliver engaging, targeted instruction that meets MA DESE and Common Core Standards for the level and subject taught. Differentiate services and instruction to meet a variety of student learning needs and strengths. Maintain active communication with students’ families in support of learning and to communicate consistently and regularly throughout the school year. Assess student performance using formal, summative, and portfolio assessments to drive instruction. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
