Paraprofessional

Paraprofessionals play a crucial role in supporting the instructional and behavioral needs of students under the supervision of certified teachers. A paraprofessional assists with classroom management, instructional tasks, and the physical or behavioral support of students, helping to create an inclusive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the classroom teacher in order to assist with instruction, supervision, and the implementation of the students' Individualized Education Programs
• Assist individual or small groups of students with their academic and social emotional needs
• Effectively communicate with students, staff, administrators and parents
• Exhibit positive interpersonal skills and serve as a role model for students by demonstrating a positive attitude and effective work ethic
• Assist with planning, organization and implementation of age appropriate learning and recreational activities with meet individual and developmental needs of the child.
• Provide support to instructors by setting up and taking down work areas, centers, and displays.
• Assist in supervising students in the classroom, playground, monitor and control behavior of students according to approved procedures.
• Assist in toileting needs as needed

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Educator License with Stipulation for Paraprofessional
