Onsite Inventory Coordinator

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Area Operation Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.


Location: Duluth, GA

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Hourly Rate: $21 - $24

What we're looking for

• Education: A high school diploma or GED is required
• Experience : 2+ years of material handling/inventory replenishment experience is required
• Digital literacy, including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
• Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can-do attitude.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving
• Organization and data management
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Not a sit-at-a-computer all day type of role

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Will be on and on the move, taking a push cart going to receive and pick up inbound materials. Go to one of the 10 locations at the site and put away the material.
• Using inventory scanning to scan the barcodes and collect information on what needs to be ordered and replenished, around 300 different parts.
• Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment and enter orders into computer systems, Web, etc.
• Receive inbound shipments from UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers.
• Resolve all shipping errors.
• Manage customers' warehouse inventory, including delivery product replenishment.
• Support multiple customers in a geographic area will require driving between facilities to perform inventory tasks.
• Perform additional inventory management-related functions such as monitoring slow-moving and dead stock, conducting cycle counting and yearly inventories, and reporting, etc.
• Perform shipping coordination activities such as answering customer calls and handling routine issues.
• Utilize Avantor and customer computer systems in fulfillment of job duties
• Meet goals and objectives: safety, performance, and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
