The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.

We are looking for a sharp, operations-focused coordinator who is ready to go hardcore and grind. This is not a desk job for someone who wants to coast - we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment, takes ownership, and executes without needing to be told twice. No prior construction experience required. Just bring strong operational instincts, high urgency, and the willingness to put in the work.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling & Planning: Build and maintain detailed operational schedules and labor plans. Coordinate tightly with engineering and business operations leaders. Own timelines and deliverables end-to-end.
• Resource Management: Allocate people, equipment, and materials effectively. Continuously track and adjust resource allocation as priorities and constraints shift.
• Risk & Problem Solving: Spot potential conflicts or delays early and drive practical solutions. Build contingency plans and keep stakeholders in the loop.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work directly with engineering and field teams to keep everyone aligned on priorities and deadlines. Deliver clear, regular updates on progress and status.
• Continuous Improvement: Dig into operational data, surface trends, and push improvements to processes so the team can move faster and more efficiently.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of experience in operations, logistics, scheduling, or a similarly execution-heavy role (any industry)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively with both leaders and frontline teams
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams without dropping balls
• Proven problem-solver who identifies issues early and drives solutions

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or high-intensity environment
• Demonstrated ability to operate with high agency and ownership
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change
• Track record of grinding through hard problems and delivering results under pressure
