SLEEP TECH Urban ENT’s Sleep Technologists work closely with our Sleep Medicine Director to conduct overnight, daytime, or home sleep studies on patients with known or suspected sleep disorders. This role will report to the Lead Sleep Tech and will be at our Skokie, Peterson and St. Elizabeth locations. Wage $25–$35/hr, depending on experience. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing. Determine that all instrumentation is functioning and adjust if necessary. Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standard. Perform appropriate physiological calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary. Perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting. Educate and assist patient throughout the night to ensure excellent patient care. Monitor and document throughout the night, preferably at a 30‑minute interval, to ensure comprehensive and quality recording for the ordering physician. Work professionally with team members. Perform pediatric and adult testing. Willingness to travel to selected facilities within the Chicagoland area. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Able to work and troubleshoot independently. Excellent customer service skills and an elevated level of professionalism. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Pediatric experience. Multilingual, especially Spanish speaking. One to five years of clinical experience. Versed on Natus, Embla, Sandman equipment. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibility. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT/RST). RPSGT – Eligible candidates must pass the exam within 3 months of hire. The cost of the exam is covered by the employer if passed, and exam materials cost is split with the employer. CPR certified.
