- Position: Staff Pharmacist
- Location: Fresno, CA
- Type: 12-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire
- Start: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM-7:00 PM
- Weekends: None
- License: Active California Pharmacist License
- Experience: Retail pharmacy experience will be considered
- Review, verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications
- Counsel patients on medications, side effects, dosage, and drug interactions
- Monitor medication compliance and potential overuse patterns
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy staff
- Maintain appropriate medication and supply inventory
- Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers
- Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, nurses, interns, and other members of the healthcare team
- Educate patients on proper use of medical devices
- Provide patient services such as blood pressure measurement and cholesterol management
