Role Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a part-time, hybrid role based in Auburndale, FL, responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Electro.Aero’s U.S. and Australia R&D subsidiary activities. The CFO will manage financial planning and budgeting, monitor cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing financial performance, advising leadership on strategic financial decisions, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The CFO will collaborate closely with executive leadership, external advisors, and global counterparts to support long-term growth, risk management, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Strong Finance and Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Experience in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in accordance with applicable standards.
- Previous senior financial leadership experience, ideally as a CFO or equivalent role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are advantageous.
- Knowledge of U.S. and Australian accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with financial software and spreadsheets, and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and operate in a growing, innovation-driven environment.
- Ideally proficient in Xero accounting software and the First Base IO platform.
