Math & Computer Science Teacher, Advisor, and Community Member 2026-27 Christ School seeks an enthusiastic, committed Math & Computer Science teacher to join its faculty in August 2026. Teachers at Christ School must be passionate about their disciplines and excited about sharing that enthusiasm with young men. In addition, they must be ready to juggle the diverse duties associated with life on a busy residential campus. In collaboration with colleagues, this Math & Computer Science teacher will: Teach 2-3 sections in the school’s Math curriculum based on enrollment and the candidate’s area of expertise (Prealgebra through Advanced Math: Linear Algebra/Differential Equations). Teach AP Computer Science and/or AP Computer Science Principles Design engaging, original learning experiences that reflect best practices in Math and Computer Science education and emphasize real-world application, innovation, and preparation for future study and careers. Collaborate with Math, Science, and Engineering faculty to enrich course offerings, expand interdisciplinary opportunities, and grow the overall Computer Science program. Create a structured, positive learning environment for all students that is clearly aligned with the school’s mission. Investigate innovative teaching methods, materials, and technology for use in the classroom. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Additional Athletic/Afternoon and Residential Life responsibilities will vary based on the candidate’s experience and interests, as well as the school’s needs. Candidates should be prepared to take on a combination of the following: Coaching sports teams (JV/Varsity) or leading Outdoor Programs (biking, hiking, climbing, etc.). Directing afternoon programs and clubs (drama, literary magazine, affinity groups, etc.). Supervising a dormitory, either as a resident or an adjunct faculty member, weekly. Monitoring evening study hall, weekly. Providing transportation and supervision for weekend activities, five-week rotation. Mentoring a small group of students through an advising program. Facilitating bi-weekly Modern Life Skills activities. Qualification Requirements: Sincere interest in educating, encouraging, and inspiring boys, Grades 8 through 12. An undergraduate degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or another related field; a master’s degree or relevant experience, preferred. Proficiency in the use of technology in the classroom. The ability to communicate clearly and proactively with students, parents, and colleagues.
