Quality Control Manager

Traveling Quality Control Manager - Nationwide Onsite Work Responsibilities Implement and administer the Quality Control Plan based on the client‑approved plan. Perform daily inspections and/or direct inspectors to provide daily inspections ensuring compliance with delivery order requirements. Prepare material submittals and Material Delivery Verification Forms certifying that ordered material/equipment meets drawings and specifications. Prepare Daily Quality Control Report summarizing quality operations. Attend pre‑construction meetings with subcontractors to promote understanding of the Quality Control Plan, applicable specifications and expected quality level. Maintain on‑site records of quality control operations, activities, tests, and inspections performed by subcontractors and suppliers. Maintain on‑site drawing records and records of materials used; maintain on‑site records of factory tests and manufacturers’ certifications. Coordinate third‑party testing agents as outlined in the quality control plan. Develop and implement methods and procedures to assess cost and responsibility for unacceptable material and supplies. Exercise stop‑work authority as needed. Monitor job site operations for compliance with contract requirements such as noise and dust control, non‑interruption of APS activities, and utility shutdown procedures. Ensure compliance with Centennial’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines and local requirements (OSHA, USACE EM385.1.1, etc.). Travel continuously between projects across the United States; drive between sites that are often miles apart from each other or from the assigned office location. Perform job duties in an office environment and visit construction sites that may include various weather conditions. Qualifications 6+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor, with at least 2 years in a quality control responsible role. Experience working on multiple projects of approximately $5 million in annual volume or more. Extensive knowledge of building codes and general engineering principles. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field highly desired. Previous formal safety and quality control training certifications highly desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills, clear, concise, and professional presentation of information. Ability to adapt and be flexible to frequent changes in a fast‑paced work environment. Adapt to evolving technology, design, methods and systems; familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe. Physical Demands Ability to walk terrain and surfaces that may be far, uneven, or temporary. Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. Ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel. Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, or reach. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Compensation The compensation range for this role is $54,188.00 - $127,500.00, taking into account factors such as experience, training, certifications, education, and business needs.
