We are looking for an ambitious, driven Employee Benefits Advisor with 3–5 years of experience to join one of the region’s fastest-growing independent agencies. In this high-impact role, you will combine strategic advisory work with business development across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Guided by our Proven Blueprint Process, you’ll deliver year-round consulting rather than standard annual renewals, helping clients elevate their benefit strategies and protect their bottom line. Key Responsibilities Strategic Client Advisory: Serve as a core consultant to executive leadership teams, guiding clients through plan design, carrier selection, compliance, employee communication, open enrollment, and multi-year strategic planning. Business Development & Growth: Actively generate new business opportunities through networking, referral channels, centers of influence (COIs), and targeted prospecting. Relationship & Discovery: Conduct thorough discovery meetings to understand each organization’s workplace culture, financial goals, and operational challenges. Renewal & Executive Presentations: Lead strategic renewal meetings and pitch executive-level recommendations tailored to each client's unique needs. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Hyland’s dedicated account management, marketing, compliance, and service teams to ensure an extraordinary client experience. Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline within our CRM tools while following Hyland's structured sales process. Industry Insights & Presence: Stay current on market trends, compliance changes, and alternative funding models, representing Hyland at industry seminars, networking events, and community initiatives. Qualifications Experience: 3–5 years of employee benefits brokerage or consulting experience. Licensing: Active Kentucky Life & Health Insurance License (Indiana license or ability to obtain preferred). Consultative Selling: Proven track record of developing executive-level business relationships and growing a sales pipeline. Communication & Analytics: Exceptional presentation skills with strong analytical ability to explain complex financial concepts to leadership. Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM technology. Industry Designations: CEBS, RHU, REBC, or a strong desire to pursue ongoing professional education. Benefits Tech Expertise: Hands-on experience with platforms such as Employee Navigator, FormFire, or modern benefits administration systems. Advanced Funding Knowledge: Familiarity with ACA compliance, level-funded plans, self-funded strategies, reference-based pricing, and alternative funding solutions.
