Warehouse Picker

-Responsible for processing orders in accordance with standardized work instructions.

-Maintain work area ensuring proper supplies and equipment are available prior to start up.

-Pack parts in boxes using internal dunnage according to standardized work instructions and specifications.

-Practice Safety in your workstation and facility in accordance with NorthGate’s Safety Guidelines.

-Inspecting for part quality

-Ensuring a high quality of finished goods

-Electronic inventory adjustments

-Learn pallet patterns for all parts

-Communicate to Team Lead / Fork Truck drivers prior to work being depleted

-Understand when to send a pallet to sortation

-Learn the different internal dunnage and know when to use each style

-Know how to read job instructions and packaging specifications

-Learn how to run pad pack machine, foam in place machine, bubble wrap machines, stretch wrap machines, electric and manual pallet jack

-Understand all label requirements and when to use them

-Utilized water activated tape for the length of the shift – manual and automatic

-Learn different size pallets and when to use the appropriate pallet

-Perform related work as required

***General Requirements***

When working in a warehouse environment through Bluecrew, you may be expected to do any and all of the following:

• Working independently or in a team to pick, pack, and ship items
• Safely relocating or repacking inventory items as directed, up to 50 pounds in weight
• Operating machinery or other light equipment as trained in a safe and responsible manner
• Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities as required by the immediate supervisor
• Working on your feet at a fast pace for the entirety of the shift
• Comfortable working in an environment where there are forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other standard or sub-standard warehouse equipment
• There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.

It is important to Bluecrew that you go home in the same healthy state that you came to work in, so please do not accept this assignment if you cannot fulfill all of the above duties.
