Urology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Urology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated urology team in Chicago, IL . In this essential role, you will provide specialized care for patients with urological conditions, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and management of various urological issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with urological conditions, including taking detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of urological disorders, such as urinary incontinence, prostate issues, and kidney stones.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborating with urologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including urinalysis, imaging studies, and laboratory work.
• Provide education to patients and families about urological health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to improve outcomes.
• Perform minor procedures, such as catheterizations and biopsies, as needed, under the supervision of a urologist.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

• Active NP license in the state of Illinois
• 1 to 2 years of urology experience (preferred)
• Active DEA
