License Practical NurseSunshine Pediatric Day Center is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to deliver quality nursing care to medically complex pediatric children. Under the supervision of our Director of Nursing (D.O.N.), you'll help meet the medical, developmental, and social needs of our patients in a facility-based setting.Duties:Administer nursing procedures such as g-tube feeding, oxygen therapy, and range of motion exercises according to patient care plansAdminister prescribed medications orally, intra- or subcutaneously, and monitor for any adverse reactionsRecord and maintain accurate daily treatment notes, nursing notes, and medication logsMonitor patient activities and assist with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, diapering, and dressingRecord and monitor vital signs, reporting any changes to the RN supervisorAssist with mobility, including repositioning, ambulating, and wheelchair transfersSupport rehabilitation activities focused on developing social and daily living skillsAssist patients during meals and provide feeding support as necessaryMaintain a clean and safe environment, including changing beds and spot cleaning as neededAccompany children during non-emergency and emergency transportation as directedTranscribe and report physician orders accurately and efficientlyParticipate in emergency response and required in-service trainingWhat We're Looking For:Education: Graduate of an accredited school for practical/vocational nursingLicensure: Current Texas LVN LicenseExperience: 2+ years in pediatric nursing (preferred)Certification: BLS certification required (LPN preferred)Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and position patients up to 35 lbs.Ability to assist with mobility, use of restraints, and manage physical demands as neededBenefits:401(k) retirement planHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Flexible schedule optionsWork Setting:Long-Term Care and Outpatient FacilityAt Sunshine Pediatric Day Center, you'll be part of a supportive environment focused on providing excellent care.
