Location: Port Charlotte, FL
Position Type: Full-Time
Shift: Full-time • Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation: $27.09 - $37.92/ Hour

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to perform accurate and timely laboratory testing while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing , including proficiency testing samples within required timeframes
• Execute stat procedures within established turnaround times
• Analyze and interpret patient results using independent judgment (including delta checks and result correlation)
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient results and laboratory records
• Review pending and result logs , resolving outstanding work or communicating with incoming staff
• Perform quality control procedures and address any issues with testing or specimens
• Handle critical lab values and specimens according to established protocols
• Assume department responsibility in the absence of a supervisor when required

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist (required)
• Active Florida State Medical Technologist License (required)
• Certification in one or more of the following areas ( Generalist preferred ):
• • Blood Bank
  • Serology
  • Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Microbiology
